B&N gift card promotion / Nook Color web browser

I called my local B&N in Roanoke VA, and they told me the gift card "deal"
was "buy 100 in B&N gift cards and get $10 free" but that the promotion ended
on 12/5/10. =(

A shame, because you could effectively get $30 off a Nook Color, case, and maybe screen protector.

I'd like to ask users of the Nook Color about their experiences with the browser and playback of video. Is the browser decent ? Ive tried the browser on the Kindle and its terrible; basically unusable.

Also, can you easily transfer videos from iTunes to the device ?

NC compared to K1 - the NC browser is much better IMO. Don't know how K2 & K3 compare. Also the slight increase in screen size makes it better (especially in landscape mode).

Back then it was the only way to buy an ebook from Amazon & they had the cheapest 'first run' ebooks.

My NC will replace most, if not all, the usability of the K1. It was very good for proof reading my scanned in books because I could highlight where the OCR errors were rather than just bookmarking the page. With NC I can highlight the exact point of the error. So, anyone want to buy a K1?
