In the past smoking was the bigest single cause of statistics but I think e books and readers have now taken over that role.

So, those investment bankers like to buy a lot of ebooks but why are they so averse investing in ebook industry? I just had this thought because the biggest publisher in Latvia recently complained that they lack necessary funds to develop ebook platform.

I'll add that Russian books generally are much cheaper than English ones, even after considering lower purchasing power of Russian public.
