I give my karma to karma worthy posts, which would include interesting news, pics and videos, special events, anything that gives me a smile or a laugh... you know, I could be giving out karma ALL day around this place!

This thread made me happy. I mean the responses after I started it- my own post didn't make me particularly happy or anything. I'm not that self-involved! The whole idea of "Karma" makes me happy. It's a happy thing. I like to think karma is truly at work out there and good things come to people who try to be good to others. (in case it's not clear, I've moved beyond the idea of karma in posts and onto karma irl

)

It's been a hectic week and I'm a little uncertain about some events that have gone on and some that are coming up, and I just read the vent thread about the pedophile book, and then I clicked here and smiled.

Hmm. Mayhap I need a stuffed animal to talk to....

I give karma to karma-worthy posts. A karma-worthy post in my opinion is either a good point, something that makes me laugh or smile, someone who is coming to my defense, a person who is a good debater (whether I agree with them or not), or a helpful post (either to me or to the community). I will also sometimes give karma to newbies to make them feel welcome and to encourage them to continue posting.

Today was the first time I've every run out of "karma giving" it was sad.

I know I've been told that I had to spread it around, but to "run out"... ?

Yes, you are only allowed to give out to a certain number of people, I think? I run out quite often, and then I don't give for a few days, then I run out again.

I reckon he's in very good company on at least two of those counts. But most people I've met tend to think quantum physics is cool.

And for karma? Everything in moderation including moderation.

I cannot stand even numbers on karma count. I like to give karma to destroy all nice round numbers.

I give you karma for that. If I have a bad week and the blues, I'll try to snap
out of it by:
1. throwing some karma around
2. welcome some folks on the MR-welcome-forum
3. go in a quiet corner and read all the posts on " add/read a joke to lighten your day
