Interesting. Saw this post yesterday and clicked on the link. It took me there and I bookmarked the page.

Today when I clicked onto my bookmark it took me to a window that is an ad for kitchen "nooks". Same thing/same page when I click on your link here.

Hmmmmmm?

Well, it was just the www.nookboards.com/forum, because the full address was working for me, when just nookboards.com wasn't. Now nothing is. *shrug*

Hmmm, registrar is listed as ENOM.com. But I don't know who the registrar was before.

I haven't been there, but I know what you mean about Kindle trolls. And I don't mean most Kindle users on this board, just some. The ones who, on the "Which one should I buy?" forum, when someone starts a thread such as "Sony or Kobo?" at least three different posters leave a response such as, "Just get a Kindle, it's awesome!!!11!" lol

I came here hoping someone knew what was going on with nookboards. It has been my primary source of information since I got my nook last December. After awhile, it is easy to feel as if I've known these people for a long time! Hopefully, they will get their domain registered and back online soon.

I've had my nook since last Christmas and at that time I was registered and went to: www.nookboards.com/forum. I liked this site. I got several books directly from authors who were conducting a "book club" on this forum. I also got great technical info about my nook. It fit my needs so well that I dropped the Barnes & Noble site for the nook.

Going to this address now brings you to a useless general search page. Something has happened to nookboards.

Within minutes of posting the above message I got the following e-mail from Rachel:

"Some of you may have noticed that Nookboards is down right now. I am very sorry for this. My server people are easy to get a hold of, which is good, but they aren't always the best at figuring out stuff on their own! I paid for the domain name 3 days ago in anticipation that it would be expiring today, yet for some reason they still expired the domain yesterday. I contacted them last night and they admitted the mistake and said it would be fixed and reset in a couple hours. Of course I discovered that this was not done this morning. I can still get on the board as can a few others, but the majority of you cannot. I hope to have this fixed soon. I will send another quick email once I can tell that it has been fixed."

I got the same email, Jim, and was quite relieved. I didn't think nookboards would disappear and had a feeling it was a server issue or mixup. Glad to know it will be back online soon, especially with the update coming out next month and some kind of announcement coming out from Barnes and Noble next week.
