Thanks varmemester.

I had seen the Belkin Pleated Kindle Sleeve before, but completely missed the fact that it has:
- "a reinforced protection panel that guards" the K3 screen;
- a "front outside zipper pocket" to hold accessories;

Thanks to your recommendation, I read the Product Description more carefully, and now I know it too !

Personally I prefer the 'Midnight Blue' version, which unfortunately "has not yet been released".

I made myself a case yesterday! Bright green fleece, the same style as the neoprene fold-back cases but with an opening on the long-edge. Sewed the corners diagonally to make stop them from sticking out awkardly. It turned out much better than I even expected! Used "stretch-fleece" and made it slightly smaller than the actual Kindle, so that it would stretch rather than bunch.

It's not designed to protect it from warfare, but the Kindle itself feels pretty tough & solid, so I think it mostly just needs protection from scratches. I don't intend to throw it around, so I don't need an invincible steel case or even leather

I'm using a homemade dealie for the time being until my $16 ebay one comes. I hadn't looked into those Oberon cases before reading this thread, man are those ever nice! For fun I draw celtic knots and the Celtic hounds one looks fantastic. IMHO $69 is a little pricey for most people although I'm sure you're getting good build quality and materials for that price.

I had the original Amazon K2 case and then upgraded to the Amazon K2 case w/strap.

The original case should have had a strap from the beginning, but my original cover was pretty worn and I needed a new one anyways.
