Cool Getting ready for The Cinder Spires
Yesterday I began reading...

The Ace Of Skulls (Tales of the Ketty Jay #4) by Chris Wooding. This is the last book (at least so far) in Chris Wooding's SteamPunk series Tales of the Ketty Jay. This series has been my introduction to SteamPunk along with a free standing SteamPunk novel...

Ticker by Lisa Mantchev that I got a few months ago as my monthly freebie in the:

program. Anyway these books have gotten me at least somewhat familiar with the SteamPunk genre.

Now all I need to do is finish reading The Ace Of Skulls and then just wait for the release of Jim Butcher's new SteamPunk series, The Cinder Spires, which debuts on September 29th with...

Cool TV shows (series) that I watch to fulfill my supernatural needs...
There are three TV shows (series) that I currently watch to fulfill my supernatural needs:

I've been watching Rob Thomas's iZombie! It's kind of Veronica Mars but she's a Zombie MD who is working in a morgue (for a source of human brains to eat) who helps a police detective solve murders!



Rob Thomas is the creator/writer/producer of both shows and his lead actresses show a remarkable physical similarity to each other. I've always avoided Zombie movies/TV shows/books but this one is a definite winner in my opinion.

...There's also Penny Dreadful:



Penny Dreadful is about gothic horror and has many recognizable characters from that genre.

...And Orphan Black:



This one is about clones and stars Tatiana Maslany, a Canadian actress who is pretty much unknown in the US but I believe that will change. She plays all the clones who are all quite different individuals!

Ooh. I've heard a lot of good things about these TV shows. I'd like to try iZombie someday. The premise sounds interesting.

As for Penny Dreadful, I read a review (?) not long ago on a romance book blog that I like to visit. The reviewers are often funny and snarky.
