I've tried knitting (as I mentioned) and it doesn't like me. Tatting looks fascinating, one of my mom's friends did it, but I haven't had the opportunity to try that one. This latest bout of the crochet bug seems like it's going to keep me busy - I've ordered yarn for two scarves, another shawl (this one in denim colors), and socks.

grrroan I have a serious case of the drowsies right now. it's 1300 and my phone hasn't rung since 9, and I haven't gotten any work related email since about the same time. every project is 100% completed, there isn't even anything to do that I have been putting off!

One fell out on my desk: "Good news of long-awaited event will arrive soon."

Must be my Kindle and/or the iPhone.

Apparently my lucky numbers are: 5, 8, 17, 19, 22 and 33.

You mean me? Personally?? Don't think so. And, everyone in this house, including me, has been neutered. Even the feral cats around here have been neutered.

Nah .... it's got to be the Kindle or the iPhone. I haven't been awaiting kittens for quite a while. It's enough of a mad house as it is without adding kittens to the mix.

ooh!! I *so* want one of those now!

you know, *munch munch* I do wonder what our strange obsession is with wanting our chocolate and other treats (what other treat is there besides chocolate, though, really?) to be in the shape of various animals? Do you think it's a reflection of the human desire to control all that is around them? Do you think it's a way we try to control our own fears (pshrynk can chime in here)? Do you think we just like to bite heads off, literally, with no repurcussions other than a more padded belly? Food (chocolate) for thought...

Don't read the other ones! I had one yesterday that said I would receive good news by mail, but I only received my credit card bill.

I also would love to learn how to tat. I tatted somethiing once and it looked good, but it wasn't ANYTHING. I want it to BE SOMETHING when I'm done, not just a pretty blob of something you can do nothing with.
I've done a couple of cuff edgings, which I have yet to sew to anything, and I was working on a choker, but I can't find it now...

That needle tatting is the kind I tried. The little bit I did was fun and turned out well with good tension and spacing, but when I finished the first thingy part I was kind of stuck as to how to carry on from there. Totally stumped me.
