A request to enable PMs is posted in the Requests to enable Private Messages thread.

I think the person I bought the mini from tried to intall new firmware but my guess is they couldn’t manage to make it work. On that basis am I safe to completely delete the firmware on the SD card and use the image you’ve sent me to replace it all?

Can you confirm if I would then have to download the Glo N613 firmware to ensure it works as it should (as I’ve read the Mini N705 no longer works)

The image will overwrite the µSD card. There are two image files, the first one is the last official release for the N705 Mini (3.19.5761-s) and the other is updated to 4.38.21908 using the N613 Glo update package.

Again, I don't recommend recycling the old µSD card. A new card that has been overwrite formatted with the SD Memory Card Formatter for Windows/Mac is my personal recommendation.

No. If you want the last official firmware version for the N705 Mini, use the 3.19.5761-s image. If you want the somewhat updated image, use the 4.38.21908 and then update it as desired.

Remember, the image will overwrite the contents of the µSD card.
