I've highly enjoyed the whole Will Robie series, as audiobooks (by Baldacci). So I recommend this book, in or out of order. I read the fourth book first, then bought the rest and listened in order (including a re-listen to number four).

"Gandhi" is one of those names of which no one asks, "which Gandhi are you talking about?" Mohandas K. (Mahatma) Gandhi stood head and shoulders above the rest of them in fame.

Chirp Books (which sells audiobooks only, it appears), in just the last few days, has started offering Gandhi: An Autobiography for the amazing price of only $3.99; the "original" (retail?) price is $27.95. Check into it at this webpage.

Someone in this subforum mentioned Chirp audiobooks a couple of months ago. I have been monitoring the website since then to figure out what it is all about. Well, for one thing, it's about very, very low prices on audiobooks! The average price on an audiobook at Chirp is about the price of an
Audible daily special!

Chirp always seems to have a large selection of audiobooks available. They generally seem to add one or two per day. But, then, as they did a few days ago, they "dump" a huge amount of audiobooks (numbering in the hundreds) on their website. I don't know, yet, with what regularity, if there is a regularity, that they do this.

For the procrastinators among us (you know who you are ), you're in luck. It appears that the most-recently added titles, at least, will stay the same price for a month or so.

(Note: the Gandhi autobiography is in the public domain. Doing a spot-check, it appears that almost none of the others on Chirp are. Don't think LibriVox! The narrator of the audiobook, Bill Wallace, is an established narrator, and apparently is in great demand (see https://www.audible.com/search?keywo...l+Wallace&ref=). I listened to the entire sample for the Gandhi audiobook, and I think that he is quite good).

  Your rental timer will begin counting down when you first initiate the download on your device or 10 days after purchase, whichever comes first.

  How long can I listen to a title?
  
  All digital rentals provide a minimum of 30 days to listen to a book from the time you initiate your first download. With some of our longer books, such as Atlas Shrugged (63hrs), we extend the listening period to 60 days. You do have the option of purchasing a 5, 10, or 20 day extension after you have made your rental purchase.

  How many times can I listen to my rental?
  
  You may listen to a rental as many times as you would like until it expires.

  Can I extend my rental time period?
  
  Once you are logged into your Downpour.com account, you can purchase a time extension for any of your previous rentals via THIS link. After clicking “Extend Rental,” you have the option of purchasing a 5-day ($1.95), 10-day ($2.95) or 20-day ($4.95) extension. If your rental has not yet expired, the purchased time will be added onto your rental. (Example: if your rental has one day remaining, and you purchase a five-day extension, you will now have six days total before your rental expires.) If your rental has already expired, the extension will allow you to listen to your book again for the amount of time purchased.

  Can I have the same rental on more than one device?
  
  You may listen to your audiobook rental on as many personal devices as you own. Your rental time will be synced across all devices on which you have installed the Downpour app.
