I meant 'really' as in 'actually.' I still find it mind-boggling.

Thanks. I bought omiage (Japanese souvenirs) for all the relatives, arranged for the cat's vacation in the cat house, and now I'm going to do a last load of wash and finish packing so there will be nothing to do tomorrow except head to the airport.

But first another cup of Assam

Stitchawl.

I don't know. When traveling through S.E. Asia there are internet cafes on just about every other block in every city, town, and village. The poorer the location, the more frequent the internet shops are because local folk can't afford their own computers. And they are cheap! Less than a dollar an hour in most places. These aren't upscale places... just long tables with computers on them, side by side. Some might sell bottled juice, but that's about it.

In First World locations, it seems one almost has to use the hotel's pricey business center unless you have a wireless device to bring along. I don't, other than my iPhone. I'll be able to check my mail, but dealing with the forums would be difficult. Too much one finger typing. The hotel business centers cost an arm and a leg, (the last hotel I was in wanted 10 dollars for 10 minutes) so I try to minimize the time spent on them. But my wife is due for a new computer, so maybe we'll pick one up while we're there that is portable and wireless. The problem might be that she really can't use an English language operating system very easily. I'm sure I won't be able to stay away for the full vacation, and will find some way to check in from time to time. Hey... I'm addicted. I have to check in from time to time!

My cup is empty

Waiting for my daughter to wake up before I venture downstairs into the cold.

This is where a teamaker would come in handy.

Very wise. I must keep reminding myself this all the time. Unfortunately, I am a natural born worrier.

Well, I feel pretty dumb.

I did all my chores. I finished the wash, and added more clothes for the trip. I packed the suitcase and strapped it up tightly. I got the cat ready to go to the cat house. My itinerary safely put into my pocket along with my passport and Japanese alien registration card. Everything ready for tomorrow's departure.

My wife came home and told me we don't leave until Wednesday.

I think a glass of Bombay Sapphire is in order.

He he that's being a little OVER organised! Plus point is at least you're good to go so you can just relax now until you do actually leave

Welllll.... not really. I securely locked up my motorcycle today, and now I'll need to use it tomorrow. I planned all the recharging so that everything would last for the trip. Now I'll have to top off the charge on all the devices again. (To lazy to bring chargers with me. .) Plus... shop for one more dinner!
