hiya, sorry about that post, yvan is right, i went to a party last night to celebrate a friend's birthday and came home at 5.30 (much later than i planned). my computer was still on (forgot to turn it off before leaving, oops !) and in my *ahem* somewhat compromised state

(quite a bit to drink, as for eating... hm, i remember having some cake...) i left a little note before stumbling off to bed... too difficult to make the switch from french to english in my condition !

vcat and yvan were sympathising with me and recommending i have some aspirin for breakfast (sound advice !).

today, miraculously, i did not wake up with a headache (although i think i feel one coming on now, but probably for lack of sleep), however despite my firm intention to sleep at least 9 or 10 hours (i was tired *before* i went to the party !) i woke up spontaneously (or maybe the rain woke me ?) before 11. grrr.

that's only about 4 and something hours sleep which is about half of a good night, as far as i'm concerned. so i'm feeling pretty fuzzy-headed today and definitely not in olympic form. and it is grey and gloomy and rainy outside, which makes me want even less to go back out, as i am supposed to do in about half an hour or less to see a samba demonstration of a different friend (i am sure she got a good night's sleep last night !). i think i am going to need a weekend (or a full week) to recover from this weekend...

*sigh* i think i'm getting too old for this sort of thing.

No we wouldn't. Not all of us were drinking or even drink. I had a designated driver to get me home and was very glad when I got there since we have an AC. Today is much cooler with some clouds, and a sprinkle of rain. I'm going back to bed when I catch up on my posts.

Right now, I'm doing housekeeping on another forum, and eating crisps.

Right now I'm on MR catching up on posts (with all these new members and the Conservatory back in the Lounge there seems to be so many more posts to keep track of) and a bit hungover. The kitchen sink is full of dirty dishes and I know the new dishwasher isn't going to be installed until next thursday and they aren't going to wash themselves. The washing machine is beeping, telling me to move the load of clothes to the dryer, which I am reluctant to do since the dryer will just beep at me when the clothes need to be folded.
