Two months is not exactly overwhelming evidence

But you can read "American Gods" instead - I'll start a discussion thread on it on Friday

I'm about 2/3 through "American Gods". This is a second read and I think I'm enjoying it more this time than the first. A fun and strange novel.

Sorry, not over-ruled. One person, one vote, site owner has veto power.

I'd prefer the title, author description/comment -- the covers are interesting (I'm an artist as well as reader ). but they don't really convey full information and can even be misleading.

I'm working on "The Murderer's Daughters" by Randy Susan Meyers, am waiting on Indie author Amanda Hocking's next work, "Switched", have a book called "False Mermaid" on my shelf but can't see the author's name. Have two by Marshall Karp - "Cut, Paste, Kill" and "Bloodthirsty". All of these are traditional books except Amanda Hocking's. I'm also hoping to get to the library tomorrow and pick up a few more.

Just finished The Kitchen House - a good read. Currently reading Let the Great World Spin, good so far but a bit depressing so I started Tinkers last night and will toggle between the two.

Just finished The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters - had gotten lost in my TBR pile. I had a mixed reaction to it. On the one hand, I found all the characters unlikeable or even marginally sympathetic. On the other hand, I did fall under the purview of Dr. Faraday's narration. The last chapter was a real stunner though - in the best Jamesian tradition.

Almost finished with Spies of the Balkans by Alan Furst. It's a historical espionage thriller set in WWII Greece on the eve of the German invasion, by an author at the top of his game. I'm a sucker for this stuff.

I don't mind images of the cover if they are supplementing the post. I like to see cover-art (sometimes it even sways my reading choice), and it means that I don't have to go to Amazon and search for it.
