Reincarnation Fiction - Dead Forever

Awakening begins the Dead Forever series, an epic tale of a long-forgotten space opera past, an immortal hero's wild adventures, and by the third book, his reincarnation on Earth. He should be one of us, if only he were blind to the untold past lives that affect the present and define his destiny. A feast for fans of past-life/reincarnation fiction. Start the journey today with Awakening.

DESCRIPTION

Death is temporary, we'll be back. In a conformist society that reincarnates, insurgents are eliminated by erasing all memory of past lives, and the mind-washed rebels are banished to a lonely corner of the galaxy. The hero escapes the dead forever process but remains stricken with amnesia, to begin a quest to awaken his memory, then confront the enemy. But first, he must overcome his lust.

RECENT REVIEWS

"Awakening is a professionally written and solidly edited book that I feel is well worth the price and time you’ll spend on it. Cool science concepts made believable and an interesting story line by an author who’s unafraid to have some fun while he’s writing." --Clayton Bye, reviews.thedeepening.com

"Each character has a unique personality and Campbell does a great job of bringing them to life." --Charline Ratcliff, rebeccasreads.com

"In the action adventure, the pace is non-stop race from being back in the hands of authority and always questioning the position and actions of the rebel group. The characters are a little odd, but extremely realistic and likable. The personal voice is the strength of the novel in that you feel as if you really live in the main hero’s body with him." --Teri Davis, reviewsbyteri.blogspot.com

"Dead Forever Awakening is a fascinating science fiction adventure, highly recommended." --Midwest Book Review, midwestbookreview.com

Now available, book two of the Dead Forever series...

DEAD FOREVER: APOTHEOSIS

A god? No thanks, too much responsibility.

Sequel to Awakening, the adventure continues as our hero travels to the Restricted Zone, aided by a mysterious provider of instructions. But mistakes mount and the mission falls apart. Plunged into an alien world at war, the hero is caught between battling natives who either worship him as a god, or another heretic scheduled to burn alive.

The hero struggles to bring peace among chaos but his nemesis has arrived, and he likes playing god, poised to launch unthinkable wrath that fulfills a world-ending prophecy. The natives are confident their savior will prevail.

Trouble brews back home--the rebels are under siege, two planets ruined, and the body supply is depleted. More of all the hero is expected to fix, while he only longs to be a child again, the one dream denied him for lifetimes. He hatches a daring plot to outsmart the enemy but in doing so risks his own life--in the last body to enjoy as a free soul. A single choice could spell his end, for real this time. Dead forever.

“Only the gods be so great as to wield the power of destruction yet escape its fate. The mortal be bound by destiny he cannot escape, however heroic.”

Talking Shameless Self Promotion

Hi everyone!

After a year of sending out endless Queries and receiving rave rejection letters, I decided to take matters into my own hands and let Kobobooks publish my novel as an eBook (for a small fee).

Did it work? Oh yes indeed...it hit the TOP 50 bestseller list and has been consistently listed as a TOP 5 eBook out of 500 in the Children's Category (teen/young adult).

I'm currently working on the sequel and still sending out queries in hopes that it may get picked up by a publishing company. Keep your fingers crossed and wish me best of luck!

Here's a bit of a teaser: Based on a true story, the novel “Sway” is about a teenager named Jessie, who stands out from the crowd. She tries her best to blend in, but has a tendency to stick out like a sore thumb. Even though she looks like every else around her, there is one obvious difference, she is hard of hearing.

Curious? Go take a gander at Sway by Jennifer Gibson - http://bit.ly/6HJLij

Enjoy!

Hi all,

I'm not sure why or how long it will last, but I wanted to let you know Amazon has discounted my novels Besserwisser: A Novel and False Refuge by 20% -- they're currently only $1.59. What a deal!

Happy reading,
Steve

Hello chaps and chapettes. BeWrite Books released a new apocalyptic fantasy by oft-published UK author Liza Granvlle last week called *The Tor*.

Must admit that I'm no big fan of fantasy (this one was edited by my editorial partner, Hugh McCracken in Canada, who's more in tune with the genre), but *The Tor* grabbed me because it's fantasy with its feet on the ground rather than firmly planted in the air. I've read it several times, and I'd highy recomment it.

You can read about *The Tor* by going to the bookstore pages at our site, www.bewrite.net, and elsewhere. It's $5.99 in ebook form -- but I'll be happy to send the PDF, ePub or Mobi version with our compliments to any MobileRead chums who email me in the next twenty-four hours or so.

A line or two of review would be welcome, but that's by no means a condition. Just enjoy the read and that'll do us fine.

Cheers. Neil -- ntmarrATbewrite.net (use the @ sign, of course)

In case you can't be bothered visiting the site, here's my back cover text to the paperback version:

Among the rotting ruins and open sores of a diseased Earth, Jude – sole survivor of a solitary group of hungry travellers and scavengers – is destined for a vital task ... but those who knew what that task is are all dead.

Bewildered and questing, Jude makes an epic Odyssey across a dying and decaying landscape of corrupt countryside and crumbling cities, thinly peopled by savage killers and unworldly dreamers, in a desperate bid to discover what he is meant to do.

Along the winding way, he gathers new companions: a wretched waif, rescued from slavery and cannibalism, a mysterious woman of beauty and secrets, and an equally mysterious, though anything but beautiful, old man of unfathomable prophesies and ferocious violence. At times, Jude feels his tired old wagon horse is his only true ally as the once-clear dividing line between friend and foe becomes blurred.

In this futuristic re-telling of ancient Grail legends, Jude becomes knight errant in a joust to the death between fear and duty.

Will he become the saviour of humanity or its doomed scapegoat at the end of days ... when his quest finally brings him to The Tor?

With characters that become as familiar as personal friends and enemies, a story that is both vaguely remembered and vividly fresh, and pages that seem to turn in the wind, Liza Granville inspires her reader to ask, for new reasons, the age-old question ... is our very presence on the only planet we know intimately the problem or the solution? Are we Mother Nature’s children or her killer?

New Lower Prices for Boomerang

Looks like both Amazon and Barnes and Noble have lowered the price on Boomerang, making it $1.59 at those two hot spots as well as at Kobo. So I figured why not take a plunge pricewise at Smashwords. So now Boomerang is a big ninety-nine cents there.

Amazon, B&N or Kobo: $1.59

Smashwords: $0.99

No coupons required.

Have a great weekend everybody.

Pointing up human foibles as well as detailing the hardships and the horrors of war, this is a worthwhile read." —Booklist

Blimey - I can't believe I missed the shameless self-promotion thread! Anyways - Dreamshade is doing pretty well at the moment: At time of writing, it's in the top ten bestseller list at Smashwords, and rising. Nice! Course, the free coupon code offer has helped, but I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of people who have gone and paid for it anyway. Very nice!

Anyways, the free offer is still on: just go to https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/15916 and enter coupn code BS86Q at the checkout. Offer expires July 8th 2010.

BTW - did I say it's got an electric guitar that fires lasers in it?

Wow, sorry, just saw your reply. I've been busy preparing a Smashwords edition. Except for one or two small formatting glitches, the Smashwords copy came out clean. I've read about halfway, so please take a look. The first book is pay what you want, second is 4.99. I'm told that Smashwords is less expensive for International buyers, so I hope that helps you get your hands on it.

I'll be uploading a new version in a few days or so, after the latest friendly reader gets done. He's caught two little things in the plot, one that fluorescent lights don't work with dimmers. So feel free to grab a copy and add it to your library. Once I update, you'll be updated automatically.

Thank you for your interest, lene. I really hope you read and enjoy it.

Thanks to everyone who emailed me for a free download in PDF, ePub or Mobi of Liza Granville's apocalyptic fantasy, *The Tor*. It was a spontaneous 24-hour offer yesterday after a particularly fun visit to MR, but it seems to have been popular, so I'll keep it open for the weekend. You can read about *The Tor* by popping into the bookstore section of www.bewrite.net. Just email me with a note of your preferred format if you want a copy: ntmarrATbewrite.net (use the @ sign, of course). Cheers. Neil
