Was the link unavailable because @DaRon doesnt have a github account? I also get the error and assumed it was because I haven't. Will ACSM update anyway now its installed?

Thing is, i have a gh account, but i was not logged in when i tried to access the file. As soon as i logged in, the link was available and the file could be loaded. The issues with "no book will be downloaded in calibre once you import/add an acsm file to calibre" has been fixed with this zip file from the gh link. @JSWolf Thanks for your suggestions (router, dns, etc) - you do not (and of course can not) know, that i am well aware of all this possible traps, but i could rule these out in an early stage already - did tests with multiple browser, operatinsg systems and even different gateways... BUT: that i needed to be logged in - well....didn't expect that... |

Sorry my suggestions were useless. I suppose they might help someone, but, DaRon, glad you sorted.

@DaRon, glad you got sorted. What a silly (IMHO) error. But at least who know what's going on with Git.

It's got nothing to do with git. It's just one of the ways github is pressuring people to get an account and to always log in. I blame the acquisition by microsoft.

The problem could be that you are not using the latest DeDRM.

I'm trying to use DeACSM 0.0.16, and have already installed DeDRM 10.0.9 (noDRM). I have ADE installed, but I'm trying to use the anonymous authorization. When I try to convert the book it says, "calibre, version 7.26.0
WARNING: Could not convert some books: Could not convert the book because no supported source format was found. No supported formats (Available formats: acsm)" I'm wondering if I'm missing a step in the process. When I try to open the book directly in Calibre to read it, the following screen appears: https://share.cleanshot.com/kFzZjnx3 And when I customize the DeACSM plugin, I'm wondering if I need to click the button that says, "Connect anonymous auth to an ADE account". https://share.cleanshot.com/SyVw4DVG Thanks for any help in troubleshooting this. Thanks Joe for your quick reply. When I first start up ADE, do I need to make an Adobe ID, or can I choose the option "I want to Authorize my computer without an ID"?
In the plugin's documentation, it said something about "Connect anonymous auth to ADE account". Does that mean I still need to create an Adobe account? |
