LOL, I don't recall the CoCo nickname. I just remember calling the TRS-80s "Trash 80s".

I just looked it up, and not only were they the same, but there are still a number of websites dedicated to fans of it. I typed "CoCo 3" into the search engine and it brought up a number of hits. For a cheap pre-Internet computer, it was a lot of fun. You stored the programs you wrote on cassette tape.

This was released in the US on 31 July 1980. I don't know when it was released in the UK, but I'm sure it was after that.

Roneo machine was a colour copying machine. from the 60's I think. We had them when I was at school.

OK, I guess I'd better put you out of your misery.

I would have accepted either of two answers.

1. The Apple II, introduced in the US in June 1977, and certainly available in the UK before 1980.
2. The Acorn Atom, introduced in January 1980

My preferred answer is the Acorn Atom because the Apple II was never really a 'home' computer in the UK.

(I had an Acorn Atom, built from their kit product.)
