Since I have become sick, I got spare time to configure your tool in a more detailed way. Thus, for example, the "Check Spelling" feature.
My settings are those that can be seen in the first screenshot. When I have the Word document open and the Check Spelling enabled, I receive the window to be seen in the second screenshot, i. e. no words listed. Listed words appear only if I check the "all words" box, but it is not all words that I want to check, only the erroneously written.
What, please, am I doing wrong?

In the second screenshot the process of collecting the words is still in progress. The actual collecting of the unique words is quite fast, but checking if each word is correctly spelled takes time.

If you check the box for 'all words', the check for the spelling is not performed. After all, you want all words. The most logical explanation for an empty list if the checkbox is empty would be that all the words are correctly spelled. That would be unlikely, since there are almost always words not existing in the Hunspell (or Word) dictionary.

So, could you sent me the file and a link to the Hunspell directory you used so I can see what is wrong?

the scene break module works as intended - I have processed 25-30 files in the meantime and appreciate the new feature very much. Thank you!

In the mean time, I can report somehow strange results:
I tried the Check Spelling with the same .docx file, but on another computer: same behaviour as above (simply no reaction).
I took a different Word document on the other computer: everything working fine.

Well, a small update to 1.25.1. Several fixes in this release. Fixes are the issues reported by BR and Leonatus. The one reported by Leonatus was caused by a strange Microsoft decision to convert a ß to ss for string comparisons in German. That is usually fine, but there are cases where this is plainly wrong.
Also updated is the scene detection routine because of a situation sketched by kbaerwald.

Some other fixes as well.

Yes you fixed the one for Symbol, but not the other two - Post Process OCR (PPO), and Field Codes (FC) - which are slightly different.

Symbol was there all the time and couldn't be gotten rid of, now its not there unless its unchecked in Settings->Configure Ribbon.

Whereas PPO and FC are there when Word (2010) starts, and they can be dismissed by doing SFA in Settings - i.e. click Settings, click Exit

In a way this is worse than 'Symbol' being there all the time, because if I don't dismiss them that way, when I go to settings to do something else (e.g. add a string to one of my mark lists) when I come back the ribbon has changed

Thank you, Toxaris, at the two Word documents that I had tested and that showed the issue before, the tool works fine now.

The Spell Checking tool is, by the way, as I realized, to me not simply an additional feature among others, but very helpful, because using it together with Word's Search and Replace renders work much more comfortable.

The Symbol should work just like the rest. It might initially be wrong, but after doing the settings it should work fine from there on. I will check the initial value, that might be wrong.

I checked the code for PPO and FC, but I cannot reproduce your issue. The hide when I want and appear when I want, also with stopping/starting Word.

I agree that it is very irritating, I will check it again. The fact that I cannot reproduce it, doesn't help me very much.

The Symbol icon is fine now - i.e. when it is checked in Configure Ribbon it is not shown and when it is not checked in Configure Ribbon it is shown - same as rest

I have to ask - why is Config Ribbon 'arse about face', or to put it more formally, why is it counter-intuitive

I agree that it is very irritating, I will check it again. The fact that I cannot reproduce it, doesn't help me very much.

I had hoped that config file I attached in post 524 might have helped with this issue.

The attached zip contains config and log files for A) before starting Word 2010, B) immediately after starting Word 2010 and C) immediately after going in and out of Settings.

Let me know if I can do/send anything else. I have tried uninstalling my other Addins - no luck though.

Thanks, perhaps it will help me. Actually, the line from the changelog you reference was to solve the same issue you had with the Symbol (yes, some mistakes I make multiple times...).

I renamed %appdata%\Toxaris to %appdata%\ToxarisSave to create a fresh set of control data. I then configured the ribbon to only show Check Dialogue, Search and Replace, Mark, Cleanup Styles, Settings, and Check for update.

The problem with PPO and FD showing on starting Word persists, which suggests to me the cause of the problem is not corrupted control data.

On a whim I tried changing the icon size for PPO and FC - no joy. What's displayed when Word starts reflects which list they're in.

I also installed the add-in on my other PC (Rosie), which is also Win 10/Word 2010, same problem. The two PC's have very similar software configs, main difference is that Rosie has Virtual Box installed.

What version of Office do you use - I use Office 2010 Home & Student.

*Update* I made a small fix in the code and will test it tonight.
