I have arrived in the thread to post and thus I have acquired the win. The win is mine for the moment although I likely lose the win in the near future when someone else posts, but I have it for the moment. It's a wonderful and happy moment in my life that the win is now mine, although I shall be slightly sad when someone takes the win from me. Still, the sadness is offset by the fact that I will easily be able to take the win once again, making me the winner once more. Thus, my loss is only a temporary thing, in no way permanent. Although there's no way for me to know if I will be the ultimate winner, unlikely that may be with all of the other posters, it is still a small possibility. Plus, this post will likely excess the total number of letters in a large number of "I win" posts, making this win even more of a win than many of the other wins. However, that actually is a non-factor since it is only the last post that counts, which this one is, at least when I hit the "Post Quick Reply" button and it appears in the thread, until it is superseded by a succeeding post. But the length of the post does not matter, it is its position at the end of the thread that counts, and that's where this post will be when I post it, although it likely will not retain that position for long. Still, I will have the win for a short time and that is a small bit of happiness in this sometimes dark and bleak, but also often wonderful and bright, world.

Well, our posts are of similar length. Yours however, seems to exhibit some philosophical tendencies, while mine is more of the anecdotal persuasion, to which I stick because philosophers never met with a happy end in our family. There was, for instance, the above-mentioned Uncle Bartholomaeus, who once argued with Jacques Derrida about the manifestation of the différance in prayers said before family dinners. Uncle Bartholomaeus was not as concise as he certainly would have been had he only been aware that Monsieur Derrida hadn't eaten since breakfast (it now being ten of the clock in the evening) and could not really deal very well with the fact that he did not manage to succeed in his attempts to get a word in and suggest having dinner to my uncle. So desperate did the hapless philosopher become in his hunger that he began to get a manic glint in his eye and proceeded to deconstruct my poor Uncle Bartholomaeus with knife and fork - so thoroughly that there was nothing left to bury of my poor philosophical uncle. Here's to you again, Uncle Bartholomaeus!
