I don't want to make many words. In contrast to all those other loquacious, garrulous, blabby, chatty, motormouthed fellas in this thread, I am not one for longwindedly droning on for hours. It is not in my blood. My late grandfather always managed to finish the prayer before our family dinners, which were deplorably rare due to the fact that our family were scattered all over the globe - I remember one occasion when Aunt Mabel only arrived from Timbuktu seconds before my grandfather commenced his prayer, which he - as always - managed to end before anybody starved; (even that one time when Uncle George lost consciousness before soup was served, Aunt Carolina, his second wife, whom he had met in the Andes only a year before under circumstances which to relate here would be a tad too much today, managed to revive him before his plate was filled by Geronimo, the butler, whose story can't be told in a few sentences either. So let me just - concisely and to the point, in the way I am rightly famous for, if I do say so myself, take this win and dedicate it to the memory of Uncle Bartholomaeus, who hasn't really deserved this dedication if you think of his less than glorious role in the Brevity Olympics of 1965. Here is to you Bartholomaeus!

I have arrived in the thread to post and thus I have acquired the win. The win is mine for the moment although I likely lose the win in the near future when someone else posts, but I have it for the moment. It's a wonderful and happy moment in my life that the win is now mine, although I shall be slightly sad when someone takes the win from me. Still, the sadness is offset by the fact that I will easily be able to take the win once again, making me the winner once more. Thus, my loss is only a temporary thing, in no way permanent. Although there's no way for me to know if I will be the ultimate winner, unlikely that may be with all of the other posters, it is still a small possibility. Plus, this post will likely excess the total number of letters in a large number of "I win" posts, making this win even more of a win than many of the other wins. However, that actually is a non-factor since it is only the last post that counts, which this one is, at least when I hit the "Post Quick Reply" button and it appears in the thread, until it is superseded by a succeeding post. But the length of the post does not matter, it is its position at the end of the thread that counts, and that's where this post will be when I post it, although it likely will not retain that position for long. Still, I will have the win for a short time and that is a small bit of happiness in this sometimes dark and bleak, but also often wonderful and bright, world.
