hi,

I would like to request for the firmware image for a Kobo Libra2 model with 32GB microSD card. The e-reader is dead, only white LED light blinking. I called kobo and tried the resetting procedure but that does not work.

I need a firmware image for the Kobo Libra 2 N418 please. I just successfully removed the card and am on my way to the store to grab the biggest MicroSD I can find of A1/A2 grade as recommended. Please PM me a DL link and instructions if possible as the old card is what I'm hoping had bricked the device.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a full SD card image for the Kobo Clara HD (model N249) because my device is currently not booting at all and I can’t perform any of the usual reset procedures.
Here’s my situation:
I have opened the device and removed the internal microSD.
The card is fully readable on my computer, so it looks like the usual case of a failing SD that has gone read-only.
The Clara is stuck on a frozen e-ink screen (which is expected), and won’t respond to any reset combinations.
Factory reset via buttons is impossible because the device no longer boots to the system.
I don’t have a working image to flash onto a new microSD.
What I need is a complete, working SD image for the Clara HD that I can write to a new microSD to bring the device back to life.
If anyone can share an image it would be incredibly helpful.

You would really help me save this device.

I've sent you a link to the Kobo N249 Clara HD images but first you might want to try creating an image from your old µSD card and writing that image to a new µSD card. This will save all your information which is a bit easier than resetting everything from scratch.

After around 10 years of service, my kobo glo HD N437 decided to die a little bit ! no way if it's just this stupid sd card ! Can you provide me an original image of the machine's OS ?

Hello!

I (suspect) that my sd card is corrupted. My kobo can no longer see epubs, and 'updates' every time I turn it on. But it does boot, glass half full and all that.

I was wondering if you had a kobo wifi (n647) image?

Hi, my wife Ereader just die, stuck at homescreen everytime. Reboot by itself and do the same thing.

Need Image of Kobo Clara HD, she don't care about data, she's just want her reader back to life

I get a white screen with vertical black lines and the led keeps blinking green after an update. I guess I need to use an image to get to the latest version.

The image does not give you the latest version. What you get is the version that was on the Kobo when the image was created. OTOH, if your Kobo is bootable after the re-image, you can update as usual.
