What I've done in the past is create a new Adobe account and used that to authorize ADE. I had DeDRM pick up the key.

The Surface pro 2, I'm not sure which one that is. The laptop does not have the original details. But I am going to give DeACSM a go sometime soon. |

Or a fresh download of the ACSM file from the bookstore, but maybe you have to use the same ID?

Aaargh! Oh, a post mentined that Calibre 5.0 and higher versions don't support the Obok plugin. You have to use Calibre V4.23 to make it work. Do I need the Obok? I don't have a Kobo reader, just the app. |

The current version of the OBOK plugin from NoDRM's site works with calibre 7.26. Download the file from DeDRM_tools_autorelease. Unpack the downloaded .zip file and import the DeDRM and OBOK plugin zip files into calibre. The app will work with the plugin to allow importing purchases into calibre.
OTOH, the OBOK plugin has nothing to do with the ACSM plugin since books downloaded using .acsm files are using Adobe's DRM not Kobo's. Last edited by DNSB; 02-17-2025 at 10:17 PM. |

I really like that the ACSM file gets deleted after the successful import of the eBook. Thanks for that feature.

hi all,
first: thank you so much for this plugin - this *might* make life way easier :-) "might" because: i cannot make it work. I am running Calibre 7.26 on macos 15.3, with deacsm plugin installed, configured and authorized with my adobe account. when i drag & drop the acsm file into calibre, it just imports it as acsm file...it wont download the drm'ed epub (or whatever format). The very same acsm file works when i use it with ADE. steps i have tried: deleted and re-did the authorization changed the ADE version EDIT 1: think i found the issue... (tried it a few times): Code:

Hi all,
potentially the same problem for me as for DaRon: Calibre 7.26 on Linux Mint. Installed the plugin, created an authorisation. The next step isn't well documented anywhere though. "Import the acsm file to Calibre". Well, when I import it, it works exactly as it did with Calibre 7.6 and no plugin: it imports the <1 KB acsm file and can do exactly nothing with it. |
