I've run out of paint. So, after I do the regular morning chores and get a shower, I will be driving a for a few hours to the closest store that actually sells the type of paint I need.

My fault, I fear ... I had no bloody idea that it would take four coats to cover the pantry woodwork with the cream color.

Theoretically, I should be able to pop over to Marble Falls and purchase the paint there, however, the last time I went there, the paint they made for me was decidedly pink in color ... and a pink pantry simply isn't the look I am going for.

I imagine that would terrify (or annoy) the cats. If not the cats, then certainly me.

It's from the Vulgate Bible. See Luke, 4, 8.
Something has always puzzled me. Why would anyone want Satan standing behind them? It just sounds....... ill-advised.

Yeah... once he's back there, he tends to push. From Finian's Rainbow:

"And he said: Get thee behind me, Satan."

"And Satan got."

"And Satan pushed..."

"And he fell..."

"Right into the arms of a buxom Jezebel from Biloxi, Mississippi."

(Let that be a lesson to you: You want action? Stand in front of Satan. I wouldn't bend over, though.)

I *think* .... if I remember correctly ... it's supposedly something that gentleman from Nazareth said while he was wandering around in the desert. As to whether or not it was ill advised ... the man never mentioned it, or if he did, I missed that particular passage.

Somehow I think I wouldn't like that. It would kind of look like Pshrynk's present avatar.
Oh no! Better in front where I can see ya! Nasty critter!

At the moment I am listening to a "Best of..." album of George Michael's (Ladies & Gentlemen, currently listening to As with the frisson-y voice of Mary J. Blige) and working on photos and uploading them to my website gallery. Also, I'm still drinking latte at 2pm in the arvo, which is not a good sign for an early night.

I just took a handheld photo of myself with my Polaroid 636. The flash hurt my eyes, and I look like a drug-frakked born-again hippy.

Cheers,
Marc

...and, a few hours later, at 10:40pm, I'm going to bed (or, at least, I will be soon). Tomorrow, early, we're leaving to visit my brother and brother-out-law for the weekend (we're helping him do some internal plaster boarding in his back lounge room, but hopefully also going shopping in a real shopping centre, with real shops that have stuff actually in stock).

See you Sunday night! (which will be Sunday morning or somesuch for most of you)

Cheers,
Marc

Ummm. Could you stop thinking about mowing my lawn now? That or send some waterwings.

Actually, judging by the weather reports, you should stop thinking about mowing your lawn as well......

Trying to avoid debugging the embedded editor on our website here at work, but I think I'm going to have to tackle it again now.

Which record have you broken? Hours of painting? Tins used? Number of colours tried?
