It was hard but I limited myself to five books:

A Vengeful Affair by Carmen Falcone
The Cinderella Makeover by Hope Tarr
Talking Dirty with the CEO by Jackie Ashenden
The Oil Tycoon and Her Sexy Sheikh by Ros Clarke
Second Chances by Rita Oberlies

I normally stay away from the sheikhs (

) but I'm intrigued by the heroine being the 'oil tycoon' for once.

I only fell for 2, the 2 by Robin Covington of the Boys are Back in Town series.

Also, any M. Leighton fans? Her earlier vampire trilogy is supposed to be free right now [looks like geo-restricted so please double check before clicking. 'Blood Like Poison Trilogy'.

I received a private message saying that my post on Macmillan's sale on Amazon was deleted because it contained an affiliate link. I'm actually not registered as an affiliate with them and cut and pasted the link from the Amazon site itself. Not sure how it could have contained an affiliate link - any advice greatly appreciated.

I am reluctant to buy anything from Entangled. Out of the five books I've read from them. None of them was really that good. I have not read their HP knock off line just their Covert and historical line.

The two Hope Tarr books caught my attention though. She is a long time Harlequin author.

You must have recently (within the previous 24 hours of that post) used someone else's affiliate link to Amazon. A lot of book blogs use affiliate links, and they carry over, so when you were browsing Amazon, their tag got appended to the URLs in the browser bar, which you then unknowingly copied and pasted here.

Thank you so much for this advice! I really appreciate it. I wasn't sure how I managed to screw the link up. I'll know better in the future.

Thanks for those, free in the US at least for me. They get great reviews.

I have been strong. I did look though and got confused. All the covers looked the same to me at first glance.

My computer glasses helped a bit, but they still look all way to alike. I think I got enough contempo stuff for a while to last me. I read more historical percentage wise anyway.

As far as succumbing to the 99 cents, I don't need any help on that score. Bookbub, ereaderiq, backlist title sales, short sales. Them darn 99 cent things are everywhere.

. Even 1.99 is not save from me. Or should I say I am not save from them.
