@mmjoshi: No idea, it's a very recent feature, and was developed mainly by Kobo user(s). Try to ping WS64 on the Kobo thread, he's the one most familiar with this feature.

What I wanted to say in my last post is that this is a way better than "pushing" features into the soft. Personally I like reading enhancements (formatting, dictionary support) but don't use basically anything beyond that. For example since I don't use Evernote at all i can delete its plugin. But I also don't use Calibre that much - yet I see that after adding Calibre support the zipped program is bigger by about half a megabyte after only one nightly upgrade. How can I delete that? This Calibre support has no plugin... I'm asking this because I'm often out of space already (yes I plan to upgrade to the newest kindle in November/December hopefully with some more space available). The other reason Is that I find overloaded menuses a bit cumbersome and pointless - and I envision more such features to come So that is why am asking for plugins - because as a nob I can easily locate and remove them

If your asking about KUAL plug-ins: The "Where do I start" sticky thread, then scroll down to the "Applications and Hacks" section. If your asking about KOReader plug-ins: I don't think it supports them. I mentioned KUAL because it lets you add features to your DEVICE (not to KOReader) of your own choice. |

First of all, *.anything will not work, use .anything instead. This search is not a filename search, it searches for title, author, series, tags and the complete path to the book. It does not support wildcards though. It should tell you the complete path of the not found book, check if this is really where you expect the books to be. Chances are that Koreader automatically found an old version of metadata.calibre. So please check if the searchpath really points to the correct calibre file. In case you manually moved this file to a new location you also will get this not found result.

Unless Amazon/Lab126 finally fixed the indexer routines - The storage is limited by the number of documents that the indexer can handle rather than the amount of available user accessible RAM. See bullet #2: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=237083 - - - - 6363 - a neat digit pattern

Dumb question: The kindle actually indexes epub documents? I thought I was free of that. After adding epubs, my PW1 is not laggy in KOreader, even immediately after ejecting.

I have only one metadata.calibre in the /mnt/us directory of the Kindle. I am not clear as to which searchpath should contain this value. mj

@mmjoshi, what exactly does it say? Something like /mnt/us/k/Stephen King/Cujo.pdf not found? And is there really a file /mnt/us/k/Stephen King/Cujo.pdf? (of course with your book instead of Cujo) And the search path, variable SEARCH_LIBRARY_PATH in defaults.lua and, if it exists, in defaults.persistent.lua Last edited by WS64; 08-23-2014 at 03:14 PM. |

I have set SEARCH_LIBRARY_PATH to "mnt/us/documents/" and SEARCH_LIBRARY_PATH2 to "/mnt/us/" in default.lua in the KOReader directory though I doubt that makes any difference. I appreciate your support. mj

It does not say "/mnt/us/documents/something does not exist" but only "/documents/something does not exist"? Do you have two metadata.calibre files, one in /mnt/us and one in /mnt/us/documents? |

driveinfo.calibre kindle_collections_path_cache.calibre metadata.calibre and all of them are in the /mnt/us directory. BTW, after searching for books, when I want to exit FM, it keeps telling me "You have unsaved default setting. Save them now?" I do not make any changes to the default settings. Are these two problems related? mj

 koreader-nightly-20140824 crashed on PW2

When I tried to start the latest nightly build, KOReader crashed after displaying the message "Starting KOReader ...".
