IT seems to work fine here with XP and b12 so there must be some other factor at work.

Hmm from looking at the corrupted images it seems like one of the image conversion routines is not working (calibre converts the image to standard JPEG). This maybe a problem either with the source images or the image conversion library on windows. Can one of you post a source cover that gets corrupted on save?

![]() That said, like I said, it also happens when I import a local jpg file through calibre. Putting a cover.jpg file into the directory manually works fine. If I then create a book using that cover image, nothing else corrupts, so whatever it is that goes wrong happens during the saving of the imported file. |

Kovid, would you like a virtual machine file with windows 7 installed in it?
I can do VirtualPC or VMware. Let me know if I can help. Cheers Art |

Released b13 with more bug fixes. I don't know of any major outstanding bugs now.

Actually, there is still ticket 2802, the issue with corrupt PDF metadata on the PRS-505. This is a really big issue for me, because it makes Calibre unusable for about half my library. Is there anything that I can do to help you replicate or debug it? |

That bug is in the PDF library that calibre uses to set PDF metadata. Unfortunately, I don't know of any library that manages to set or for that matter even read PDF metadata with 100% success.

Importing HTMl + Links (b13)
Hi. I discovered Calibre yesterday and I just love it
![]() Was using v 0.5.14 till now and I'm very happy with it. Today I installed 0.6b13 just to test it, and found that when I import an html file linked to anothers, the linked ones are not imported. In version 0.5.14 the import works fine. Did you tried this? Sorry if this has been mentioned before. I just could not find anything about it. Thanks ![]() |

@vvirtual: Works for me, how did you import the HTML, by drag and drop, add books or what?

Add books. I tried by a chance, adding a book already imported yesterday with no problems. But today it only import the fiest file (the imported one) ignoring the links.
I've rolled back to 0.5. Tonight I'll reinstall b13 and try again to find more information. I can also zip and email to you the bunch of files if you want. |
