Kindle Unlimited

You don't need KU to get Whispersync pricing on the Kindle books you already own. Just pull up each book on Kindle and see if it's eligible.

Much faster, unless you want to check a specific book from deep in your collection. There does not appear to be a way to sort or search the matchmaker list.

What did you mean by that? That if you are a KU member and borrow a book that you can buy the Whispersync narration? Like what we used to be able to do when we borrowed a Kindle ebook, that had Whispersync narration, from the library?

ADDENDUM TO MY PREVIOUS POST: I saw nothing about it at all on the webpage that I referenced. On the webpage that you referenced, it appeared only to be saying if you borrow the ebook, you can borrow the Whispersync narration. When your KU subscription goes bye-bye, so does your listening to the Whispersync narrations.

Yes, that's what I mean. Not sure if it still works, but it did so previously. I don't use KU.

I need to see it in black-and-white. I've got a suspicion that that benefit has ended, just like the borrow-from-the-library-buy-the-Whispersync-narration provision. One reason that I think that is that neither one of the two webpages that we've been able to find about KU mention it.

And where do they get off calling it "unlimited," anyway? It's got a huge number of limitations.

Could be. But, then, if they did change it, how would people know? Amazon's not going to send everyone an email saying, "Heah, we're not going to let you have this benefit anymore." They didn't (as far as I know) do that when the borrowing from the library provision ended.

I know, I'm leery. And I'm much more so than I used to be.

The fact that they don't advertise certain desirable features tells me that they really don't want people to use them (much).
