Actually I think it's fake. From the reports I have heard the media in North Korea did tone down the two Brazilian goals, but didn't claim victory. And the game against Portugal was actually broadcasted live - first time that happened. They may not do that again in the foreseeable future given the result of the game.

I remember seeing that bunch of Korean spectators. Did you notice that they appear at several places of the news clip in mirror image?
That's a sad reality for those who live there...

Oh I'm not saying they didn't try to manipulate things. I'm just saying, that in the other reports from North Korean media, they have not flat out lied, just hidden the truth by focusing on the one goal, not reporting the end result, and only briefly mentioning the two goals against them.

the point is that while North Korea do manipulate the media very much, the western media often goes for the hyperbolic as well when reporting on North Korean media manipulation.

In my opinion, this sounds like an outright lie. Saying they lost two goals means they failed two goal scoring chances, not that they suffered two goals.

And to maintain the lie, they never say they lost or didn't win.

I don't know why FIFA allows tyrant dictator countries to participate.
