The Knight Commission on the Information Needs of Communities in a Democracy, funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and organized by the Aspen Institute Communications and Society Program, is the first major national commission to report on news and information in the digital age. It conducted a year-long study to assess the information needs of communities. It comprises 17 respected leaders from the fields of media, public policy and community organization, including co-chairs Theodore B. Olson and Marissa Mayer. Alberto Ibargüen, Knight Foundation president and CEO, and Walter Isaacson, Aspen Institute president and CEO, serve as ex-officio members. Peter M. Shane, the Davis and Davis Chair in Law at the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University, served as the Commission’s executive director.

The Commission held seven public forums and meetings in communities across the nation, and heard from more than 100 people, including community organizers, educators, journalists from old and new media, labor leaders, technology engineers and strategists, entrepreneurs, futurists, public officials, policy analysts, economic consultants and community foundation representatives. Amazon's new international settings are mucking things up a bit. I don't know about the first one, since it's mobipocket, but the second is just caught in the glitch. Seems a lot of DTP titles are showing up this way, but all the authors are US and thus all the rights are US. They haven't made any setting change at their end, but Amazon did something on theirs (like the 5-device limit they all got stuck with and now the Unlimited Device limit they all have). This one seems to have affected randome books on author has two that are OK in the US, but the third in the trilogy and the omnibus got marked as not available). I'd say to ignore the issue entirely on the list for a few weeks, as the authors struggle to get Amazon to fix the issue.

However, you might want to add a tiny disclaimer in the first post - all prices are for US customers, international prices may vary.

Don't forget the solar charger for the Kindle - I'll assume the one on your Rover can only power it.

Might want some type of nightlight (and an electric blanket too - those nights can be cold).
