Alita Update BYRead-V3.1.0-202150714
I installed an OTA update to my Alita yesterday, and managed to get through my 850 page pdf book without the horrible screen overwriting anomaly -- per my prior posts -- for the first time. Testing ongoing.... but, as before, hopeful.

My firmware version now reads: BYRead-V3.1.0-202150714.

Well, that was fast, upon returning to my reader the very next page was something more grotesque than the pictures of the anomaly I have previously posted. I'll stop expecting a fix from Boyue.

2021-6-24 Its been over a month since I have seen the screen anomaly, and I am reading on Alita constantly, so I no longer regard it as a problem. Had Boyue indicated that their updates were directed at addressing the issue -- perhaps by responding to my requests for help -- I would not hesitate to give them credit for fixing it. I have also been updating KOReader regularly, which I almost exclusively rely on because of their excellent PDF features.

Yeah you will need to live with it.

It happens now and then. Sometimes really frequent sometimes not... it's a bit annoying to flip back to get it to refresh exact pixels but we will need to live with it. It's a bit strange only you and I are mostly the ones that have this problem... I didn't see anyone else posting about it... :P

True. I would hate to think that in this enlightened age of over-educated savants only two people are reading enough to notice the anomaly.

In all fairness it does appear that the problem has significantly reduced in frequency by an order of magnitude: from a one percent problem to a 1/10 of one percent problem. Instead, occasionally (and rarely) Alita seems not to want to turn the page.

Well, I don't use my Alita for conventional reading - it's too big and bulky for that.
I use it for reading when I can't be within arm's reach of the device and then with pedal page flippers, but then not with the existing app - I only use this to annotate and create notes.
And I have no problems.

I think that my Alita's fully updated. It says ByRead-V3.1.0-2021050714. Unless you want to spend your leisure time worrying about and tinkering with the device just use it. I've not seen any difference after installing updates since buying it nearly two years ago. The more you mess around the more likely it is to go wrong and if it does then you'll really have problems.

How do I check the byread as I was told to update the byread and then did so, however, I checked the facebook page and the firmware has loads of new updates

Lifebook Alita K103, downloaded the file, put the file into the root of the tablet. It recognises the file as update so I click OK but then when it tries to install it fails.

Do you have an SD? Possibly internally formatted?
I have a portable formatted SD and for me this update worked great

Are you on Android 6?
