I have seen there is a new version of plato that works for Clara HD. Are you using plato?

I haven't yet tried Plato, last time I checked, there was no precompiled version, and i'm a lazy person.

I have now tried version 0.5.0, and although I prefer having a lot of settings, this is very sleek software, and it works from KSM09.
Sleep mode seems to be a permanent state, and it won't wake up from it, short press does nothing, long press eventually makes it 'power off' (returns to KSM09)

It is a question of perspective. Maybe I should have called them ksmColorsOne/ksmColorsTwo or ksmTheme1/ksmTheme2 instead of ksmColorsDay/ksmColorsNight, and instead of the menu entry "toggle nightmode" I could have chosen "toggle between themes."
If you like to understand those two of nightmode themes, then there is no daymode/non-nightmode.

I think in the final version I should change to "themes".

I think that might be better to use indeed, less confusing

Yes it certainly seems that way. apart from that it works perfectly fine, definitely no issues between ksm and plato.

Hi all I'm new here and I just got a Kobo Aura One.
My ereader has the last 4.10.11655 firmware and I want to install KSM but in the first post it sais:

KSM 09 is supposed to work under FW 2.6.0 to 4.7.10413 and likely higher.

I'd like to know if it is safe to go on even with the last firmware. Cheers.

I am not aware that KSM is incompatible with the latest firmware versions. I guess, if there was a problem somebody would have posted it here. I cannot tell you from my own experience, since I am still on 4.7.10413.

If you got your Aura One just now, and it is your first Kobo, I would suggest you use it for some time without modifications. Once everything is settled and runs smoothly, install KSM.

Just skip it. It is just one more level of safety, but it is not necessary.

I hope you kan save me from having to buy a second device in order to read the books!

I can only say that without KSM I would not consider using kobo's, while the hardware is good, the sw just does not work well for my and my reading habits. Tshering, thank you so much for all the amazing work that you have done developing KSM, I, for one, would be lost without it!

I installed KSM 09 and KOreader on my Kobo Aura Edition 2 version 2 (I checked the 7th digit of the serial number, it's a 2) because I didn't read the instructions of this post carefully enough.

It says there that I should have problems with touch, but I am not having any problems at all! Everything works as it should as far as I am aware.

Maybe USBnet doesn't work correctly, but I don't even know what that is. Wifi communication works.

Before installing KSM and KOreader my Kobo firmware version was 4.10.11655.

I just thought it would be good to inform whoever could be interested. If I misunderstood something I would also like to know.

• toggle to the full menu by selecting

  toggle between full and short menu

• navigate to the file "version" and open it:

  tools > explore > explore kobo.msh > version

• check the last three digits. Are they 379?

I do not think I can do it right now. But as soon as I get a chance I will prepare a test version for the H2O Edition 2 version 2. Would you be ready to do some testing then?

Sounds good. I would gladly do some testing if I'm capable of it.
Roughly when do you think you will have time to do the update, in a week or month or so?
Just wonder so I know how often to check this thread
