So, is it possible to save annotations and move them from the device to my desktop computer?

Fortunately, with its internal capacity and micro-sd capabilities, the Boox Max seems to have enough memory capacity to make this viable. The same might not be true of the GoodEreader device with its limited internal memory. |

Hi,
has anybody tried (scanned) PDFs of music scores, e.g. with the app MobileSheets? Anybody tried Gmail, a Calendar app, a Contact app? Thanks a lot! Best, Jan |

Officially only 32GB but if you format it with fat32 it works with higher space values.

the second batch of Max will be in production next week and we expect to get it in the second week of June. Currently factory is occupied by manufacturing of Onyx 6" model for a big Chinese wholesaler. Quote:
Sorry, I don't have much experience with Win10 (currently I am not going to change from W7 64). The problem could be in your USB3.0. ports. There are lots of reported problems trying to use ADB and USB3.0. I've found this workaround for similar problem: ".. Reinstall the Android driver while you're in recovery mode. Even though you installed it while the device was booted and it was recognized, now that you're in recovery mode it won't be recognized anymore. And you can't make it automatically find the Android driver in the driver folder-- you have to select it manually. 1) On your Windows desktop, Go to your Control Panel then Device Manager. 2) You should see Android Phone under Other Devices with a Yellow ! mark on it. 3) Right click on it and choose "Update Driver Software" 4) Choose "Browse my computer", then "Let me pick from a list." 5) If you see categories, select "Android Device", then select "Android ADB Interface". 6) The driver will install and you can now run the update with ADB. " I could not test it myself since I cannot reproduce your issue on my PC. I hope it will work for you. Last edited by Booxtor; 05-25-2016 at 06:09 PM. |

Hi Booxtor,
now a somewhat trivial question. The standby and turn off pictures are so boring. How can one replace them? I could not find the file where they've been saved. One more thing. I tried the export function for one's annotated .pdfs and it is pretty cool, but the resulted file is huge, over 26 times bigger (2.3 Mb to 61.7 Mb). It is true the text has 63 pages, and it was heavily annotated and underlined. I guess, a more economical use of underlines and handwriting should render a much "slender" exported document. On the other hand, the .txt exported annotations can be a practical feature for students, demanding little memory (a few hundreds kb) and offering a shortcut to key paragraphs and own observations. After the update I had some complete freeze ups (had to restart the complete device) with the Neo Reader. I know it's still beta but Onyx might look on it to fix the problems.

http://www.amazon.com/Nulaxy-Wired-K...ct_top?ie=UTF8 Another type of solution: http://www.amazon.com/KeyShair-Bluet...RFDK002A76KHP5 I don't know if they work well, but these devices or something like that could be a solution. Quote:

The Max phones home a lot
FYI, ContentBrowser (the home launcher) phones home a lot. It:
1. sends this raw data Code:
{"last":null,"oauth_key":"LYCAODjoVdRJjXYCwrxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx","installation_id":"23cd4e14-3916-4095-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx","v":"a1.3.1"} There seems to be no reply from the server, it just listens on that port very much passively. 2. tries to connect over https to IPs such as 52.71.214.56 / 52.72.210.46 / 54.84.40.56 / 54.88.251.91 / 54.152.122.98 etc., which are all amazon ec2 instances, with a twist: their only open ports are 443 and 8253. I didn't manage to intercept that traffic, but I'm sure it's connecting to `api.parse.com`, as it's the only DNS request that stands out and the ip range seems to match. 3. POSTs binary data to `http://alog.umeng.com/app_logs`, with the headers: Code:
X-Umeng-UTC: 1464282824227 X-Umeng-Sdk: Android/5.5.3 ContentBrowser/+(10555+-+980869c)+Max/4.0.4+B3581136xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [xxxs are my attempt at anonymisation] |
