Okay, I have owned this cover for about two and a half months now and today I noticed that the vinyl on both of the lower corners of the rigid frame thingy that the Kobo slides into is starting to peel. It will not affect the function of the cover but it might turn out to be a cosmetic problem if it gets any worse. It is happening right along the top outside edge of the bottom corners. I assume this is from my holding the book while reading. I still like the cover but this is something you might want to consider if you are thinking about getting it. I am still patiently (sort of) waiting for Cover Up to send me the replacement cover with the working wake/sleep function. |

I never kept the non sleep/wake one, I sent that back to them as I didn't need it or really want a non sleep wake case. I thought I was being considerate sending it back and just waiting, not realising it was a one way consideration ![]() The service from them was appaling and would never use them again. |

I don't see what's taking so long to get proper sleep covers since they've known of this issue for long enough (IMHO).

I'm not sure what's happening with the Sleep Covers that you all ordered a couple of months ago, but the CoverUp website currently shows that the price of the:
Cover-Up Book Style Natural Hemp Cover Case for Kobo Aura H2O eReader, is: £9.95 (Our price: £18.95 - You save £9.00 (47%)) And the Product Overview includes: A built in sleep / wake function automatically turns on your Kobo when the case is opened and turns it off again when the case is closed. So, I suppose the question is: are these the same sleep covers that don't work for those of you who bought them? ![]() Surely these covers do as stated?? ![]() Last edited by Lynx-lynx; 03-06-2015 at 06:53 PM. |

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I suspect, since the price is marked down, that these are still the defective covers. I have contacted customer support to remind them I am waiting for a replacement just in case these are working versions of the cover.

Liz from Cover-Up customer service told me the website listing is incorrect, and shouldn't say it has the sleep / wake. She also said they are still waiting for the working covers to arrive. I just want to add that Cover-Up customer service has been great in responding to my inquiries and concerns. Last edited by ElWorm; 03-10-2015 at 08:24 AM. |

But I still don't get why it's taking so long to get covers made that have a working sleep function.

I do not recommend this cover:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Magnetic-.../291401092989? I bought it, and it's absolute crap - not worth 10 cents let alone $11.67!! The front does not close securely and therefore it constantly slides up and down. The whole thing just has that inferior look, feel and application. Caveat emptor! ![]() Last edited by Lynx-lynx; 03-20-2015 at 09:02 PM. Reason: I left out the word 'not' |

Alright, maybe someone here can help.
I doubt my ideal 'case' for my Kobo H2O exists, it'd be a silicone shell which did not cover the front screen at all. Just the back, sides, and front bezel. Failing that, maybe a case with a minimal front flap which I could possibly cut off without risking structural damage to the rest of the case? |

I haven't seen a silicone case for any of the current ereaders. Most people want something to protect the screen when not reading.
As to cutting the front off, the case Lynx-Lynx and I have would probably be OK. The back is a plastic shell that holds the device at all corners. There is a single piece of leather that is imbedded in the back and the font and is used as the hinge. That could be cut off without damaging the back. |
