People often wonder how in science fiction a character who is "out of phase" can breath and why they don't fall through the floor. But another problem which has occurred to me is that when they return to normal, wouldn't the air that was occupying the space that they're standing in "fuse" with their bodies?
Now that's what I call nightmare fuel. Last edited by Dylrob; 01-29-2012 at 09:39 AM. |

Our cat Christian is 19 years old. According to the Cats Age Conversion Chart at http://cats.about.com/cs/healthissues/a/agechart.htm, that's like 92 in human years.

And your table doesn't even go up that far , though I calculate that made her about 108 in the human equivalent. |

He's still got a lot of life in him, too. I can't believe that at his age, last summer he tried to pick a fight with another cat in our court.

^Wow. Maple will be 12 (64) in June this year. She still plays and is the neighborhood bully, but she's such a sweetie.

Looks a lot like our cat, Cody. He will be 19 in spring. He is almost entirely an indoor cat.

So is Christian mostly these days.
Did you notice the hairs sticking up on his back? The dogs were jealous that I was paying attention to him by trying to get is picture and I had to keep shooing them away. He mostly tolerates them, but he rarely shows any affection to them. |

Have you seen this?
My friends (husband and wife) used to work for Brian Plummer, the ferret handler, who wrote books on the subject. |

I wonder if ferrets behave like my dog does --- (he's a shih tzu, and so smallish). When he has something in his mouth that I really need him to let go -- I pick him up by the hind quarters, so his head is downward. He instinctively opens his mouth.
Dunno why; he just does! |
