^Take the camera out of the comparison. Get a real camera.

You also forgot needing to sell your soul to Apple in the iPod Touch case. Then again, you've already done that with the iPad. Definitely go for the Galaxy Player. That way you can have sold little bits and pieces of your soul to most of the major players. It's good to hedge your bets with respect to technology. I'm going to suggest you get a Sony e-Reader as well so you can complete your hedging options.

I have a real camera. A DSLR in fact. Though I do still occasionally find built-in cameras somewhat useful. Just because it's always with me.

I trust Apple slightly more than Google. At least when it comes to my personal information. As I heard it said once, you are Google's product, and advertisers are their customers. I had a Sony Reader. The first one they released stateside (PRS-600). Alas it broke.

Anyway, I'm going to bed for real now.... Probably.

If I ever retire, I'll get a camera phone. Not to replace my camera, but because it is nice to have something to capture shots in those moments you didn't expect you'd be needing one.

Would that it were so. The Nov./Dec. 2011 issue of Philosophy Now has an article by Professor Raymond Tallis in which he challenges Zeno's Paradox on the grounds that Zeno was speaking in terms of abstract mathematical concepts verses life as it is lived.

Oh, and I've pretty much settled on the iPod touch incidentally. Ultimately the deciding factor was being able to share apps with my iPad.
