Curious. The Wired article sources a deleted post on Buckell's blog, which doesn't list it, and also doesn't present itself as authoritative. Wired says it's official data from Worldcon.

Anyway...

The Space Between Worlds by Micaiah Johnson is $1.99 on Amazon.com and B&N and $2.51 on "rest-of-world" Kobo
Quote:
An outsider who can travel between worlds discovers a secret that threatens the very fabric of the multiverse in this stunning debut, a powerful examination of identity, privilege, and belonging.

Multiverse travel is finally possible, but there’s just one catch: No one can visit a world where their counterpart is still alive. Enter Cara, whose parallel selves happen to be exceptionally good at dying—from disease, turf wars, or vendettas they couldn’t outrun. Cara’s life has been cut short on 372 worlds in total.

On this dystopian Earth, however, Cara has survived. Identified as an outlier and therefore a perfect candidate for multiverse travel, Cara is plucked from the dirt of the wastelands. Now what once made her marginalized has finally become an unexpected source of power. She has a nice apartment on the lower levels of the wealthy and walled-off Wiley City. She works—and shamelessly flirts—with her enticing yet aloof handler, Dell, as the two women collect off-world data for the Eldridge Institute. She even occasionally leaves the city to visit her family in the wastes, though she struggles to feel at home in either place. So long as she can keep her head down and avoid trouble, Cara is on a sure path to citizenship and security.

But trouble finds Cara when one of her eight remaining doppelgängers dies under mysterious circumstances, plunging her into a new world with an old secret. What she discovers will connect her past and her future in ways she could have never imagined—and reveal her own role in a plot that endangers not just her world but the entire multiverse.

Fire & Blood - George R R Martin $2.99 Amazon, Kobo and B&N

Quote:
Centuries prior to the events of A Game of Thrones, dragons ruled the skies of Westeros. Uncover the history of the Targaryens — from the creation of the Iron Throne to the grisly civil war that nearly destroyed their dynasty — in this captivating fantasy.
The Postmortal By Drew Magary $1.99 Amazon, Kobo and B&N
Finalist for Phillip K Dick award and Arthur C Clarke Award - first novel

Quote:
John Farrell is about to get "The Cure."
Old age can never kill him now.
The only problem is, everything else still can . . .

Imagine a near future where a cure for aging is discovered and-after much political and moral debate-made available to people worldwide. Immortality, however, comes with its own unique problems-including evil green people, government euthanasia programs, a disturbing new religious cult, and other horrors. Witty, eerie, and full of humanity, The Postmortal is an unforgettable thriller that envisions a pre-apocalyptic world so real that it is completely terrifying.

Rose Daughter by Robin McKinley is $1.99 on Amazon.com
This is McKinley's second retelling of Beauty and the Beast.
Here's a review by Jo Walton of the two stories, that I posted the last time Beauty was mentioned: Two Beauties, Two Beasts: Robin McKinley’s Beauty and Rose Daughter
Quote:
Once upon a time, a wealthy merchant had three daughters. When his business failed, he moved his daughters to the countryside. The youngest daughter, Beauty, is fascinated by the thorny stems of a mysterious plant that overwhelms their neglected cottage. She tends the plant until it blossoms with the most beautiful flowers the sisters have ever seen—roses.

Admiring the roses, an old woman tells Beauty, “Roses are for love.” And she speaks of a sorcerers’ battle many years ago that left a beast in an enchanted palace, and a curse concerning a family of three sisters . . .

The Ministry for the Future by Kim Stanley Robinson is $3.99 on Amazon.com
Quote:
Established in 2025, the purpose of the new organization was simple: To advocate for the world's future generations and to protect all living creatures, present and future. It soon became known as the Ministry for the Future, and this is its story.

Told entirely through fictional eye-witness accounts, The Ministry For The Future is a masterpiece of the imagination, the story of how climate change will affect us all over the decades to come.

Its setting is not a desolate, post-apocalyptic world, but a future that is almost upon us - and in which we might just overcome the extraordinary challenges we face.

The Star Trek novel Uhura's Song by Janet Kagan is $0.99 on Amazon.com.

Quote:
Years ago, Lt. Uhura befriended a diplomat from Eeiauo, the land of graceful, cat-like beings. The two women exchanged songs and promised never to reveal their secret—but now, those songs may be the only hope to save the planets from a deadly epidemic.

The U.S.S. Enterprise™ is orbiting Eeiauo in a desperate race to save the inhabitants before a deadly plague destroys them. Uhura's secret songs may hold the key to a cure—but the clues are veiled in layers of mystery and the inhabitants of Eeiauo aren't what they seem. But the plague is killing humans, threatening other planets—and Kirk must crack the code before the Starship Enterprise succumbs!

The Angel of the Crows by Katherine Addison is $2.99 on Amazon.com
Quote:
Katherine Addison, author of The Goblin Emperor, returns with The Angel of the Crows, a fantasy novel of alternate 1880s London, where killers stalk the night and the ultimate power is naming.

This is not the story you think it is. These are not the characters you think they are. This is not the book you are expecting.

In an alternate 1880s London, angels inhabit every public building, and vampires and werewolves walk the streets with human beings in a well-regulated truce. A fantastic utopia, except for a few things: Angels can Fall, and that Fall is like a nuclear bomb in both the physical and metaphysical worlds. And human beings remain human, with all their kindness and greed and passions and murderous intent.

Jack the Ripper stalks the streets of this London too. But this London has an Angel. The Angel of the Crows.

Can you elaborate? Many of these bundles contain a handful of items that easily justify the price for me so no qualms about taking a chance on the rest. 47 books for $28 is tempting but this one is mostly stuff I'm not familiar with...

My digital TBR is large but I'll list a few already on it that I'm excited to read or have read:
* Driftwood - fix-up anthology of stories by Marie Brennan, author of the Lady Trent novels. The frame narrative involves a place where worlds (and stories?) wash up on.
* The Violent Century by Lavie Tidhar - "World War II with superheroes" is reductive. (I've already read Unholy Land which was great)
* The Four Profound Weaves - I don't know much about it because I'd rather be surprised. Set in the author's Birdverse.
* The Freeze-Frame Revolution - Peter Watts space story (author of Blindsight and others)
* The Stress of Her Regard - Tim Powers - vampires and famous 19th century English authors.
* Forgotten Beasts of Eld - great standalone fantasy by Patricia McKillip.
