Not possible at this point in time. Only if a new exploitable vulnerability is found for the KOA2 firmware will a software jailbreak be possible. At present nobody has located the serial ports on the KOA2 board, so even a serial jailbreak is currently not possible.

The current fw version is the only version that is relevant.

Thanks for the clarification. My KOA2 is fortunately still on 5.9.2.0.1.

Can I jailbreak on this version, then upgrade to the latest firmware and re-apply the jailbreak? The dark mode shortcut in the latest version feels like a good reason to finally update.

No you cannot. The last jailbreakable version is 5.9.0.6.
