Blossom, by the time I moved to this area in 2001, all my internet friends had taken to calling me G A as if it were my initials!

1. For me, at least, 60" is ridiculously large. It would completely "take over" my living room. I'm happy with my 32". 2. There are so many things you might want to connect to a TV these days that one HDMI port is not enough. I'd want at least three. I know you can get external HDMI splitter boxes, but they aren't nearly as convenient. |

For me anything larger than 40" is too big for a TV. Our Brava is 40" and I think it's just the right size to see from all angles. I wouldn't mine a smaller one for the bedroom.

We have two 40" TVs, one is dedicated to the xbox 360, the other for digital cable box and roku. I wouldn't mind having one that size in my bedroom, I have enough space for it.

I have a 39-inch and a 47-inch. The larger set doesn't seem like that much of an upgrade over the smaller one, yet it's a lot more unwieldy. I don't know that I'd want to go bigger than 47 inches.

My main TV is a 27" iMac. I have it mounted on the wall in my kitchen.

And put sticky tape on the floor. That, in addition to time and money, is why I feel a 60" or even 90" set is a wonderful thing if you can swing it. I often PREFER the theater to be in my house. One day.... |

I'd love a 90 incher for my family room, but it would take over the room. 70" is about the right size for that wall. Good thing they've gotten affordable. My sister is looking at 42 inchers but I'm trying to get her to go 55. It is less than $100 extra and at her viewing distance it'll be equivalent to a 70. I guess I just mean that even if I COULD get the right apparent size by just putting my couch 4 feet from a 40" screen, I would not choose to do so if I could have a bigger screen and sit farther away. |

If anyone is looking for a great 3D/Blu-ray/DVD player with wi-fi and full streaming ability, Amazon just dropped its price on the Sony BDP-S5200 by another $10, it's down to $79.00 right now. I have the S5100 and love it, and just ordered an S5200 for the other TV.
