It's up to you, the samba server is free, the web-sharing apps are linked in the market making them easy to manage, upgrade, and de-install. |

I'll check the pay version on my android phone on Thursday when I get home and verify if I can see internal memory on it. I don't recall if it works like the docs claim or not -- the EVO has such a small internal memory that I don't tend to use it. Update: It looks like WebSharing only supports internal storage on the DroidIncredible and no other phones Did any of the other apps you tried have support for the internal storage? I noticed that once I rooted my Nook, my "continue reading" button doesn't work anymore. Is there a fix for this? I removed SoftKeys, in favor of Button Savior, thinking that may have been the cause. No dice. Any ideas?

outside of having to use winimage to create the imaged sd, this has been by far the easiest android root I've done (G-1, Clik, MT3G Slide). and with just having to have an updated base nook and drop in the sd card, future roots are dirt easy. all the instructions regarding drivers sort of assumes you're not using auto-nooter. and once it's rooted, everything else that would be done using ADB, i've done with a terminal client. One item of note is that som e apps will not show a keyboard unless you have the nook in portrait mode. a rather small but under-mentioned point. And now that someone has managed to at least partially get the onboard bluetooth module to wake up, I expect that this will be at least as hot as a Samsung Tab with the next major rom.

PegS, thanks for that link. Now how do I get back to the stock home launcher? I was able to do that when I had SoftKeys (which I don't have anymore) and I can't seem to find a setting in Zeum or Button Saviour to map the "N" key to the home launcher. Any ideas?

Hello
Hello all,
I've just read through all 32 pages of this thread and have been enlightened and entertained. Laughed quite a bit reading through these posts ![]() Once I new the Nook Color existed (I have the original Nook) I was curious as to whether or not I wanted to upgrade. I wanted a tablet of some kind; you know, the usual suspects, iPad/Galaxy Tab. After looking at the prices, and the fact that the 2nd gen iPad isn't due out until spring sometime, I came back to look at the Nook Color as I heard it was based on Android. I fell across this thread from another web site and was glued until all pages had been read. I'm going to head off to my (somewhat local) Barnes & Noble location after work to pick up one of these gems. I look forward to spending some quality time in these forums. ![]() |
