Albert Einstein was an inventor. In collaboration with Dr. Gustav Bucky, he invented an automatic camera with an "electric eye" able to control aperture and exposure settings automatically. He also invented what is known as the Einstein-Szilard electromagnetic pump; a device that greatly reduced the possibility of toxic gas being released from refrigerators. He received part credit for patents for gyrocompasses and a hearing aid. He even held a patent for a blouse with side openings that served as armholes.

I was looking at The Cable Guy yesterday. At one point, he's standing in a satellite receiving dish and fantasizing about the future.

The future is now! Soon every American home will integrate their television, phone and computer. You'll be able to visit the Louvre on one channel, or watch female wrestling on another. You can do your shopping at home, or play Mortal Kombat with a friend from Vietnam. There's no end to the possibilities!

Kate Mulgrew, who played Captain Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager, just guest starred in latest episode the Sci-Fi channel series Warehouse 13. She played one of the shadowy figures in charge of the namesake Warehouse.

The sad thing is that I didn't even realize it was her until like forty minutes into the episode.
