Anyone getting a shipping date on their K3?

chill mate, i ordered two days earlier than you and my status still hasn't changed. it's starting to get frustrating to tell you the truth...

but the good news is that orders from August have started to come through, just a few posts above...

i'm ashamed to admit i'm following the order dates

What an awesome product, going from 1:2 to 1:10 in contrast is quite something and the default font is very readable. For reading basic books Calibre will certanly do some mobi-conversions in the next few months The cover with light gives the kindle a more sturdy feel, looking forward to do some reading with the light tonight.

(Only negative thing so far is that the page-turn buttons are a lot more noisy than a carefull swipe on the PRS-600, the highlighting and notes seems slightly worse, but I'll need to use the device more to tell for sure).

So, I've opened my K3 package, connected it to the mains and charged it fully, connected it to the home Wi-Fi network, transferred one book from the "Archived Items" list, and browsed the Amazon store. During my lunch break, I plan to try out the browser and grab a copy of the MobiPocket Download Guide from here and the Feedbooks Download Guide.

Ordered it on Aug 6, including the EU wall charger. The charger was delivered on Aug 9, but the Kindle Wifi is still very much away, "no delivery date...", etc.

I ordered on August 3, and last night my order went to "Shipping Soon". This afternoon it finally went to "Shipped", with a delivery date of September 1. I'm still using my Reader PRS-505, but that will be given to my brother right after I get my K3!

Yep. Some kind of hanky-panky here with the tracking number for the lighted cover. Clicking on "See Complete Tracking History", I now see:

So, although Amazon.com accounts for the package from the time they changed its status to "shipped" on the 25th, they just told the post office about it today and have not yet passed the package along to them to deliver to my home. And, the original entry from 25 August now just says "US" as the location instead of "Lexington, KY" which I saw on Thursday.

apparently it will "ship" on or before September 4. that's like 5 days!!!!
although i knew the schedule already i was hoping against hope for an early delivery.
