I quite enjoyed the film, to be honest. I guess I'm not wholly impartial - the reason I was even vaguely interested in seeing it was that I worked on something related to some merchandising - but I felt it was better than it had any real right to be.

Are you quite positive that all six volumes are included - and if so, are they all in the $1 tier where Volume One is?

I bought those paperbacks as they came out, but the ebooks - except for the first and last books - have been crazy expensive. Getting all six for cheap is a deal I'd jump at, but since the first-tier entry is labeled #1...

Not sure about the tier, but I bought the bundle myself at the top-tier shortly after it came up, and and all 6 volumes of Venus Prime are included and are the full novels (actually, there's a problem with #5 apparently having the wrong file when I downloaded it, but I'm sure that'll get fixed). So since VP is only mentioned at the $1 tier, presumably #1-6 are all included in that one mention.

Maybe another MR member who wants to get the full thing could buy in at the $1 tier and check, then upgrade later, and let you know?

I plinked in at the $1 tier, and I see the same problem with #5. In a mildly hilarious twist, all three formats for that book give different contents, none of them correct. I filed a ticket to let 'em know, but considering the other middle books are going for $9 each on Amazon, just getting the other five is very worthwhile.

Sebastien De Castill's The Greatcoat series is on sale for $1.99 for each of the first three books in the series (volume 4 will be out in June). I've read the first one, and I just bought the next two. It's a swashbuckling fantasy series about a group of former Kings guards who have been discredited after the death of the King.

Amazon, Kobo, B&N

Yes, #5 EPUB was junk, but the MOBI seems fine. I didn't look at #1 and #2, since I already had them. I did a quick run-thru of 3-6. #3 is missing the blueprints at the end of the book (I haven't tried downloading the MOBI yet). None of the 4 book has an TOC worthy of the name, but that is fixable fairly quickly. Still, I'm glad to get the rest of the books, and at a good price.

I'm guessing this was meant to be a reply to ATDrake or Rev. Bob's comments about the Venus Prime books.

All three of the Godlander's War books are available in today's daily deals for $1.99 each. The first book is free for Prime members. I really enjoyed this trilogy.

Wish they had a zip file too!

I use the DownloadThemAll! extension in Firefox, and it does a great job getting everything.

The Once and Future King by T.H. White - $1.99
Amazon | Kobo | Google | B&N | eBooks.com | BAM
Quote:
T. H. White’s masterful retelling of the saga of King Arthur is a fantasy classic as legendary as Excalibur and Camelot, and a poignant story of adventure, romance and magic that has enchanted readers for generations.

Once upon a time, a young boy called “Wart” was tutored by a magician named Merlyn in preparation for a future he couldn’t possibly imagine. A future in which he would ally himself with the greatest knights, love a legendary queen and unite a country dedicated to chivalrous values. A future that would see him crowned and known for all time as Arthur, King of the Britons.

During Arthur’s reign, the kingdom of Camelot was founded to cast enlightenment on the Dark Ages, while the knights of the Round Table embarked on many a noble quest. But Merlyn foresaw the treachery that awaited his liege: the forbidden love between Queen Guenever and Lancelot, the wicked plots of Arthur’s half-sister Morgause and the hatred she fostered in Mordred that would bring an end to the king’s dreams for Britain—and to the king himself.

Indeed, it should have been this. It looks like the second and third books are still $1.99 at Amazon, but the first book is now $9.99.
