I'm posting this book of Southern recipes, even tho I ain't a too happy about it. There are listings in this book for every state in the deep South--except for Florida! Take a look at a map, Mr. Vaughn. Florida happens to be more southern than any other Southern state (unless you consider Texas a Southern state, but I won't quibble about that right now)! And once you get away from the seacoasts with their $2 million+ condominiums, Florida can be about as Southern as you can get--I mean collard greens and cornbread and blackeyed peas Southern!

This book is useful for its recipes. But the publication date (2015) is so recent that it looks to me like it would be a good guide, if you're traveling, to places to stop and eat throughout the South (excluding Florida. Arrghhh!).

Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia are east coast states, too.

The complexion of the state of Florida does change considerably, lots more in some places than others, when the snow birds arrive from Michigan, Canada, New Yawk, et al. each winter. But we've still got the same Southern food restaurants year 'round. Ya'll come.
