I will as soon as my Japanese contact will travel to Europe again or the device is available in Europe.

Unfortunately almost all E-Book Reader don't have a removable battery.

If you consider the long charge cycles the battery should last more than five years, perhaps more like ten.

According to Goodereader guy, for USA&Canada it is march/april for 1100/1200 $ but again through Sony USA Business Unit only i.e. no Sony stores, Best Buy etc. for single buyers.
