Bilbo1967 has it. I'm not entirely sure if the first quote is actually from the book. It was listed on Goodreads' Roald Dahl quotes and was in one of my favorite scenes from the movie where Mr. Fox is talking with his lawyer about buying the house.

Actually, you're not that far off. This book did have a big impact on revising financial systems in the U.S.

In my opinion the author is one of the greatest authors of the 20th century. He ranks right up there with Hemingway, Faulkner, Joyce, and Woolf (and I don't even care for Faulkner, Joyce, and Woolf).

Couldn't agree more - one of my favourite authors and this is one of my favourite novels.

Spoiler: A movie has been made based on the book (6 out of 5 stars from me). Written by one of the world's favorite children's authors. Sadly, the author died in 1990.
