Such an undeserved win for Japan. Denmark played so well. Especially the goalkeeper.

Denmark did play well. This was one of the better games, action from one end of the pitch to the other. I will remember fondly Japan's passing game.

I didn't think so.

I guess it's the differences of opinion that make football such an interesting game

Actually Denmark did start out quite well. But after the first goal, the shortcomings of the offence of the team was all to obvious. They didn't really get any open chances the entire game. Bendtner got no chances at all and that other attacker (Jon Dahl Thomasson) can't hit a football if his life depended on it at the moment.

The sad thing is that even though the goalie clearly had a part in both of the first Japanese goals today, reality is that none on the Danish team has played well in this championship. Hard to go through from the group play, when that is the case.

Bendtner is always iffy. He plays for Arsenal, my personal favorite team. And there he shows his excellent scavenging skills. That's what he does best, irritate opposite defenders. But once in a while he gets that brilliant string of goals. What he's worst at is passing properly and that's where he stops being good to me. EVERYONE in a team is supposed to be good at that level, even goal tenders.

TOMORROW, Brazil/Portugal... My hunch tells me .....Portugal wins.

Here's for egg in my face...

New Zealand's out, after a draw with Paraguay. They've had an amazing tournament, for a team described as "has-beens and no-hopers". Our team finished ahead of Italy!

I love it when the underdogs show a bit of spunk and surprise everybody.

Today, at 3 GMT, we have Portugal vs Brazil. In their last mach (a friendly in Brazilia), Portugal lost 6 - 2 (!).

I'm crossing fingers for Portugal.
