Heh! You nailed it straight on. When temperatures fall below -15C the noise you make just walking can be overpowering enough not to hear car coming by you.

Currently 10 C and sunshine in North Texas at 11 AM local. High today of 20 C, tommorrow of 23C and sunshine, and Friday 22 C and partly cloudy. the first buds are showing on the daffodils, should be blooming in 2-3 weeks...

Think I'll barbeque tommorrow afternoon....

Ok, it's actually 40 degrees (F) warmer now -- +20 instead of -20. So it feels almost balmy.

I have now decided never to move to Chicago, Wisconsin or Canada.
Taylor and BadGoodDeb, Pshrynk and Yvanleterrible have all deterred me with their weather reports.

Ha. While it is absolutely beautiful here during the winter months, you don't want to be here during the summer, either. The temps literally don't get below 89degrees at night, and the daytimes are in the 110 to 115 range. Every stinkin' day. For at least two months. Sometimes three.

But I must say, the pool water stays at a decent 90 degrees or so around the clock, so its never too cold.

yes, the beauty of these international conversations is that despite frequently complaining about the weather here, i've come to the conclusion that it's pretty clearly preferable to the climate in the majority of the United States, for instance.
