Not sure if this was asked before but with this can we also change the overall white color of Calibre?
It's really burning my eyes and it's only 7 PM here but with the lights out I can't keep my eyes on the screen for more than a few minutes. I am asking about the general background of the library viewer not the reading panel when opening an ebook. Thank you in advance. |

I think the answer is Yes. Just install it then go into its icon menu and pick Customization. Page down to the GUI Colors tool section.

I assume you restarted Calibre after installing or updating a plugin.
"Managed" to install it? Installing a plugin is easy. |

Quick question,
when creating the .csv file for importing into tags editor can I use a comma to separate a tag to change into two separate tags? For example, original tag is "Historical Romance" and I want to change it to "Historical.Romance, Romance.Historical Romance" Two separate tags. |

If you have activated (use) JS's "Library-Specific Tweaks", you should deactivate them prior to upgrading Calibre to any version > 3.40.1 so that any Calibre issues you may have are not confused with JS issues, and vice-versa.
After upgrading Calibre, and all else seems to be working, you may then safely re-activate the "Library-Specific Tweaks" and restart Calibre as normal. Added: Important: if you are reading this because you upgraded Calibre to the "new" version > 3.40.1 but did not deactivate the Tweaks shown below before upgrading, and Calibre now fails to start up: Simply edit the 'Job Spy.json' file located in your /calibre/config/plugins/ directory in a text editor. Change the "True" to "False" for the identifiers in all-capital letters shown below. Restart Calibre. Code:
"GUI_TOOLS_ACTIVATE_TWEAK_ADD_BOOKS_READ_METADATA_FROM_FILE_CONTENTS_NOT_NAME": "True", "GUI_TOOLS_ACTIVATE_TWEAK_AUTHOR_SORT_COPY_METHOD": "True", "GUI_TOOLS_ACTIVATE_TWEAK_AUTO_ADD_DIRECTORY_BY_LIBRARY": "True", "GUI_TOOLS_ACTIVATE_TWEAK_DEFAULT_OUTPUT_FORMAT_BY_LIBRARY": "True", "GUI_TOOLS_ACTIVATE_TWEAK_READ_METADATA_FROM_FILE": "False", "GUI_TOOLS_ACTIVATE_TWEAK_SAVE_COVER_SEPARATELY_BY_LIBRARY": "True", "GUI_TOOLS_ACTIVATE_TWEAK_SAVE_TO_DIRECTORY_BY_LIBRARY": "True", "GUI_TOOLS_ACTIVATE_TWEAK_SAVE_TO_TEMPLATE_BY_LIBRARY": "True", "GUI_TOOLS_ACTIVATE_TWEAK_TITLE_SERIES_SORTING_BY_LIBRARY": "True", Last edited by DaltonST; 04-16-2019 at 03:13 PM. I run the latest version of the plugin, but when I Import the csv for updating metadata, it doesn't recognize those tags with brackets in them.
Example: Jericho (US) |

I don't know if this is what you mean:
Edit: I've attached the csv, which has brackets. Last edited by Tanjamuse; 04-20-2019 at 11:48 AM. |

The debug log shows that the input data has no round brackets. ================New CSV File Row==================== "Jericho US ","Ready" ================New CSV File Row==================== If your spreadsheet program is showing the round brackets in your CSV File, I will need you to attach the original CSV File to your previous post so that I can examine it.
