Which version of the WiFi? There are three. The model number should be on the end of the device. It could be N647, N647B or N289. You need the correct image to get it working.

i flashed the sd card inside the ebook and now it's alive again!!
i didn't closed the ebook but one thing i noticed was that now when i click the power button it actually don't turn off or go to sleep mode (depending on the time you click on the power button), it restarts only after i click it for about 5 seconds or so. I updated via kobo desktop app to version 1.9.12. There's some workaround to this issue?is anybody getting this problem?

EDIT: the power off and sleep mode work fine, i couldn't do it because it was charging...many thanks one more time!

By the way, is anyone upgraded the sd card to a larger one? what is the limit of space the ebook can handle?

I don't know for the WiFi. For the later devices, you simply write the image to a larger card, and expand the books partition to fill it. This will probably work for the WiFi, but I don't know what sized card will work. 4GB probably will and 8GB or 16GB are a good bet. But, I suspect it will be to old for a 32GB or bigger card.

Memory Upgrade Mod Guide has some instructions for doing this. They are for the Glo, but the basic steps are the same.
