Oh, and it was done in a day and a half, with 3 kids around - which is more like 3 hours of actual time. :-) /R |

the script works though there seems to be a problem when you use it to switch down to the lowest possible speed (33000). The speed is changed but the iliad does not return to the content-lister. If you press the up/down-buttons or the pagebar your iliad should return to the content-lister. You can see if the speed is changed if you enter a speed different to 33000 MHz into the comment-field of the script. After running the script the comment-field should read the actual frequency the iliad was set to. For example: trying to switch to 500000 should result in 398000. I will change the default-speed of the script to 100000 to avoid further confusion. UPDATE: I just found out that I changed the script already to make 200000 KHz the default value. Which version did you download? What did the comment-line say before you first ran the script? UPDATE: Stupif me.I read your message again. Yes, the speed changed. You can try to set the iliad to 200001 KHz for example. k2r Last edited by k2r; 03-20-2007 at 04:57 AM. Reason: KHz is not MHz... |

hello,
thanks f your answer. i tried it with the following frequencys: 33 200 33 000 200 000 200 001 33 000 000 200 000 000 i've done this, because i don't know which freqency unit it's been used; mhz, khz, hz. please say with which firmware version the script works? because my version is still 2.71. bye m-s-s |

I installed the powersaving ipdf using your installer. Then I updated my iLiad to 1.9.1. I'm now wondering, which ipdf am i using, rincewinds, or iRex's? And if I choose the option to uninstall rincewind's, will I then have the new iRex version? Thanks! |

In future installers I'll include a README file that'll inform people that a restore to original state is recommended before upgrading. |

And - of course - you have to thave shell-access enabled. Why do you (have to?) stay on 2.7.1 ? k2r |
