It's quite the opposite. In ePUB you can have smallcaps (although ADE stupidly does not support them, other renderers do). Mobipocket does not support smallcaps, and you have to use some tricks (such as actually writing uppercase letters and making them smaller), and these tricks you could use them in ePUB too

In my opinion, the only advantages of mobipocket are: It has an specific dictionary format, and the reader is often less buggy than what we get from Adobe.

They're beginning but I'm afraid that, at this moment, more than DRMed Mobipocket book (or th same number, more or less), but the DRMed epub ebooks will grow, but Im not o sure about DRMed Mobipocket books.

Quite a few. In france it's growing And I want to read French authors, really. ePub is the standard where I live. Even the books in english. It's the UK for me, and it's also adept ePub.

I just ordered an Orizon. There is a lot of trade-offs of course but I'm happy with the decision. With Swedish pricing it was pretty fair too.

Anyone know how far it goes with the touch? Can you use it as a scratchpad / make notes on the screen? More advanced annotations would be nice now when you get a touchscreen.

Lets hope they keep their delivery time promises!

There was some video of handwriting with the Opus, so I guess the option will be there, either at launch or with a firmware update in the not too distant future.

I didn't even know the Opus had a touch screen. It doesn't, right?

I think this is newly updated on the Orizon page. at least I can't recall reading it before:

Sorry jwalck, no notetaking or annotations at all, when I tried it. The software was still in beta though, but Bookeen has never mentioned anything about this being available.

And the Orizon and Boox are very different animals when holding them side by side.

Why too late sony ? I have a Cybook Gen 3 and an Opus, but I was waiting for the PRS 350: I am not disappointed.
The PRS 350 is a better device (better constructed, better screen), with a better software.
It starts in one second from sleeping mode.
I have 400 books that I can easily select with the touch screen (selection by author, with an index on the rigth margin).
Others selections are possible, by date, by last read, by book name and by file name.
The dictionaries are included (English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and German) and you access those with a double click.
Easy to annotate, to highlight, to take notes.
I use Calibre, but you don't need any software to use collections: from the device you can create and delete collections, and insert/delete books from collections.

Well, i already own an opus. I see very little point in buying another 5". Maybe a 6" for note taking, but, i would most likely still use my opus in the metro. With Orizon and opus, it's more likley I can switch the SD, and keep the page i was in, all that.
I'm quite attached to folders too, collection would be a downgrade from my point of view. And i'm used to bookeen's good and bad by now.
