The other option I looked at was dual lock tape which is strong enough for industrial applications, but it's quite expensive, so I thought I'd try the velcro dots first. I got the dots from a hardware store and they have a very thick adhesive backing like glue, unlike the ones from the office supplies store.

I just tried shaking the cover vigorously for several minutes with the reader facing downwards and it didn't show any signs of detaching, so I'm convinced it's secure.

Marcy,

Why not just trim down the front and back covers of the Sony case so they'll fit under the flaps of the Oberon Journal case? That way you have the beautiful look of the Oberon case outside and the security of the Sony case inside.

You could even cut the front cover off the Sony case altogether and just slip the trimmed down back cover and spine into the Oberon journal cover. That would leave you with an available front flap and the look of the Oberon journal when you are reading.

I'd like to know that as well ! I desperatly want one of those Oberon covers, they're so pretty !

I was just looking at the size of the Kindle 3, it's pretty close to the PRS650. Maybe I'll buy one of those, and hope it'll fit my Sony reader. I might have to use some Velcro though ...

Edit: just found out that the Oberon covers for Sony readers are discontinued. So I guess it's either the small journal cover or Kindle 3 cover for me. Does anyone know if the Kindle cover with Velcro is still available ?

I really don't like the look of the Sony covers. And yes, the Oberon covers are way too pretty.

Plus, if the Kindle 3 cover doesn't fit my PRS 650 I'll have a good excuse to buy a Kindle
